Divers Against Debris
Marine debris is a global problem that harms both oceans and marine life. We all play a role in reducing and preventing it. At Beyond The Corals, we are dedicated to protecting Bonaire’s marine environment and educating divers on responsible, eco-friendly practices. Fortunately, the west side of the island remains mostly debris-free due to constant eastward winds. However, after a wind reversal, some debris may appear. By collecting any debris you find during your dives, you contribute to vital marine research and help keep our oceans clean for future generations. Want to do even more? Join an AWARE specialty, like the Divers Against Debris Specialty and become a conservation leader with us.
Let’s all work together to make a difference and protect our oceans!
- Bring the debris item(s) or pictures of the item(s) back to Beyond The Corals.
- Provide us with information about the location you found the items (dive site & depth).
- We will put your finds into our database, which can be used for marine research.
