Not only did we do some fabulous diving on our own, but I also had a great experience completing my PADI Advanced Open Water Course as well as two dive specialties – Underwater Navigation and Peak Performance Buoyancy! They are both exceptionally talented and patient PADI instructors. Although we brought most of our own gear, Mom had some equipment failures and she ended up renting a BCD and regulator from their onsite dive shop – SUPER convenient and really well priced!
Our evenings were often spent sitting out by the pool for our own “happy hour”, but we also had fun on a number of evenings – getting together in the BBQ area with Kim, Michel and other guests.
All in all – I would highly recommend staying and diving here!
I went diving with Michael yesterday and had an absolutely amazing experience! I always get nervous during my first dive every year and he calmly helped me overcome my fear and have a wonderful dive at Salt Pier. I am so thankful for the experience! In addition, the equipment and dive shop are both top notch! I highly recommend Beyond the Corals! I can’t wait to go back and do more dives with Michael!
I forgot to mention that him and his wife also rent 3 apartments at their property that are absolutely beautiful! Next time we are staying there!
Me and my girlfriend followed the PADI Advanced Open Water Course with Beyond the Corals. We were very happy with our choice. Michel and Kim are both excellent dive instructors (with each their own specialties) and warm people. They take all the time to explain everything beforehand and afterwards in their ‘classroom’. And it was much fun with them. They really try to make your dives worthwile. Their equipment is good and new (some even brand new). They also have their own small dive shop. We didn’t stay here (they have 3 rooms and a pool), but the rooms looked very nice. It’s next to the airport and really close to several good dive spots like Hilma Hooker and Salt Pier.
Thanks Michel and Kim! If we go diving on Bonaire again, we’ll definitively come back here :).
