Your Responsibilities
- Teach PADI courses, specialties and experiences ✦ make divers, not just certifications
- Guide certified divers on relaxed, fun, and safe shore dives ✦ show off your favorite dive sites! Bonus points for spotting Eagle Rays and turtles
- Welcome divers, handle paperwork, gear rentals, and give warm, clear orientation briefings ✦ smile patiently when wetsuits are tried on backwards
- Care for our coral nursery and play an active role in conservation efforts ✦ saving the reef is way cooler than just posting about it
- Be the go-to for guest questions about diving, sustainability, and the Bonaire Marine Park rules ✦ yes, you’re allowed to geek out about STINAPA regs and fish facts
- Keep the dive shop clean, tidy, and safe ✦ because every awesome dive begins with an organized shop
- Plan and manage dive activities ✦ making sure every dive runs smoother than a lubed wetsuit
Requirements
- PADI OWSI or higher ✦ ready to teach and inspire
- Fluent in English ✦ bonus points if you can switch to Dutch when someone yells “Ik ben m’n vin kwijt”
- Driver’s license ✦ shore diving capital of the world = loading tanks, dodging donkeys, chasing sunsets
- Eco minded ✦ care about the ocean and show it
- Team player ✦ we’ve got each other’s fins
- A diving role model ✦ upholding PADI standards, Bonaire’s protected marine park rules, and the highest level of dive etiquette
- Proactive attitude ✦ spot problems, fix them, and still make it to the dive truck with a smile.
