Bonaire is the first official blue destination in the world
The island is considered a biodiversity hotspot in the Caribbean and has earned an international reputation not only for the quality of its diving but for its successful conservation programs as well – this is proof that tourism and conservation can be mutually beneficial forces. Beyond The Corals shows leadership when it comes to managing these recourses seriously, and has undertaken many conservation and management initiatives to protect the environment.
As marine ambassadors, we recycle our waste, use solar power, and teach you more about conservation and how to get involved. As a diver, you can assist by collecting data about the debris that you may find on your dives, enrol in a conservation course such as the Reef Renewal Diver, Lionfish Hunter or Sea Turtle Ecology and research distinctive specialties to restore endangered coral species, control invasive species on the reef and learn about turtle conservation. We believe Beyond The Corals is more than diving, we go beyond. That is why we are also a proud Green Fins member and STINAPA Reef Rangers, so we can make sure we can exceed your stay with us.
