The Discover Scuba Diving at Beyond The Corals includes:

Do you wonder what it’s like to breathe underwater? If you want to try scuba diving, you can do that through the Discover Scuba Diving program. While it is not a scuba certification course, Discover Scuba Diving is a quick and easy introduction into what it takes to explore the underwater world. You learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI professional. After going over a thorough dive briefing together, we will head into our three-tiered on-site training pool to practice a couple of skills in shallow water. After this you will be fully prepared to go on an open water dive in the ocean at our stunning house reef, Bachelor’s Beach! We keep our groups nice and small, with a maximum of 4 divers per instructor.

Get your scuba diving certification with the PADI Open Water Diver Course – the world’s most popular and widely recognized scuba course. The PADI Open Water Diver Course is made up of four main areas:
Knowledge Development
If you want to save some precious holiday time, you can do all the theory sessions of the Open Water Diver course at home! PADI has developed a handy e-learning program for this.
Equipment
In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you learn to use basic scuba gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, regulator, buoyancy control device (BCD) and a tank. At the end of your course, you will be able to assemble and disassemble your scuba equipment properly and learn the importance of familiarizing yourself with the type of equipment you’ll be using. At Beyond The Corals, we take excellent care of our equipment and we use BCD’s that have integrated weights for maximum comfort.
Pool Training
Once fitted and familiarized with your equipment, your instructor will assist you into the pool where you’ll get hands on training and practice skills such as equalizing, clearing your mask, sharing air and much more. At Beyond The Corals, we have a big three-tiered training pool on-site for easy learning in optimal conditions.
Open Water Training
After you’ve become comfortable in our training pool, get ready to experience everything you’ve learned with the freedom of open water. Experience the gorgeous reefs of Bonaire while you learn to scuba dive over four open water dives in the ocean.
The PADI Open Water Diver certification is recognized worldwide, so your diving experiences will be limitless! We keep our group sizes small with a maximum of 4 students per instructor to make sure every student gets the attention they need and deserve!
The Advanced Open Water Diver Course includes:

As a certified scuba diver, you’ve already experienced the thrill of exploring parts of the underwater world, but know there’s more to discover. Whether you’re looking for new dive adventures, to improve your scuba skills, or both at once, taking the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course will help you gain more confidence and improve your dive experiences. You do five different dives all under the expert guidance of your PADI Instructor. No formal classroom session, just a lot of diving and a few knowledge reviews. Navigation and Deep dives are mandatory in order to obtain your Advanced Open Water certification, at Beyond The Corals, your other three dives can be chosen from:

Love scuba diving? Want to share it with others on a whole new level? Take the PADI Divemaster course and do what you love to do as a career. The PADI Divemaster course is your first level of professional training. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you’ll fine-tune your dive skills, and refine your rescue skills so you anticipate and easily solve common problems. You’ll gain dive knowledge, management and supervision abilities so you become a role model to divers everywhere. As a PADI Divemaster, you’ll lead others as you supervise scuba diving activities and assist with diver training. At Beyond The Corals, we can provide you with very comfortable accommodation , all the necessary materials for the course, dive gear, and one on one mentoring from our experienced PADI Instructors.
The Emergency First Response Provider Course includes:

Duration: 0.5 days
Age: min. 12 years old
Emergency First Responder Provider training focuses on building confidence in rescuers and increasing their willingness to respond when faced with a medical emergency. Course participants learn the steps for emergency care and practice applying skills in a learning environment. The course is supported by self-study (e-learning) to enhance learning and to allow you start learning right away. You will learn primary care, secondary care, CPR and the use of an AED.
This training goes hand in hand with the PADI Rescue Diver course but extends far past the diving world. It will also give you incredibly useful skills and knowledge for your day-to-day life and in the workplace.
At Beyond The Corals we have a nice airconditioned classroom for skills practice and all the necessary tools and equipment for a well-rounded training. You will also learn how to use an AED and how to provide emergency oxygen.
The Rescue Diver Course includes:
- E-learning (after booking you will receive your e-learning through us, via email)
- Confined water training dives either in our big three-tiered training pool on-site or our house reef, Bachelor’s Beach (or a different dive site with ideal conditions).
- 2 open water dives at dive sites around Bonaire
- PADI e-card certificate

The PADI Rescue Diver course is a very in-depth and crucial training for safe diving. You will learn how to help divers in distress on the surface as well as underwater. After the course, you will be comfortable using a compass and know how to successfully look for a missing diver using different search patterns. There are so many useful skills you will perfect during this course for optimal safe diving. Bonaire is the perfect location for it as shore diving could bring along a certain set of challenges in regards to exiting an unresponsive diver for example. Let’s make sure we can all help each other out!
To become a PADI Rescue Diver, you also need to be an Emergency First Responder, which is a course we of course also offer at Beyond The Corals.
The Assistant Instructor Course includes:

Duration: 3 days
Age: min. 18 years old
The PADI Assistant Instructor (AI) course can be the first step in becoming a Scuba Instructor. The course introduces you to the PADI System of education and lets you gain experience in teaching. You will learn through confined water skill development, open water workshops, knowledge development and presentations. After finishing the PADI Assistant Instructor course, you can begin your scuba diving teaching career by independently teaching some PADI courses and assisting with others.
The Bubblemaker program at Beyond The Corals includes:
- Instruction
- Ocean dive at our house reef, Bachelor’s Beach (or a different dive site with easy entry) OR pool session in our on-site three-tiered training pool
- Rental of well-maintained scuba equipment + small tank
Duration: 2,5 hours
Age: 8 and 9-years old
Get ready for a splashing good time with the Bubblemaker program! Kids aged 8 and up can wear scuba gear and explore the shallow waters (max depth of 2m or 6 feet) with a PADI pro right by their side. It’s like being a mini-Jacques Cousteau with a chance to experience all the fun of scuba diving.
The ReActivate program at Beyond The Corals includes:
